“Living on Hertel Avenue during law school has been an incredible experience. The neighborhood is vibrant, filled with restaurants, boutiques, antique shops, and unique local gems. Some of my favorites include Bertha’s Diner, Daisy’s Doghouse, Little Club, Tee’s and Taps, and Lake Effect Ice Cream. No matter the season, there’s always something happening—from the festive Tree Lighting in December to the lively Italian Heritage Festival in July.”

Vice Dean for Admissions
“If you have a full day to explore, consider visiting the Buffalo AKG Art Museum in Elmwood Village. Recently expanded, it showcases a diverse collection of modern and contemporary art. For architecture enthusiasts, the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Darwin Martin House in the Parkside neighborhood is a must-see.”

“Elmwood Village is home to cultural landmarks, small businesses, and fresh eateries that highlight some of the best goods and flavors Buffalo has to offer. I often find myself thrifting and shopping here—and I always stop by The Intersection, a tiny café, for the best lattes in the city.”
