My Journey

Lindsay earned her baccalaureate degree from the University at Buffalo, where she double-majored in Psychology and Communications. Inspired by an interest in student development and access to education, she went on to complete a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration at New York University (NYU).

She began her career in admissions, recruitment, and student affairs at NYU’s College of Nursing, where she managed the College’s scholarship programs—from outreach and application through scholar selection, program implementation, and annual reporting and analysis. Her thoughtful approach and dedication to students led to a promotion to Assistant Director for Admissions and Student Affairs. In that role, she advised applicants, led information sessions, analyzed and projected enrollment trends, and helped design a welcoming and supportive onboarding experience for new students.

In 2012, Lindsay returned to the University at Buffalo to join the School of Law as Associate Director of Admissions, where she helped lead recruitment, applicant advising, and enrollment efforts. She was named Vice Dean for Admissions in 2017, a position she continues to hold today. In this role, she leads the Law School’s admissions and enrollment strategy, overseeing recruitment, application review, and scholarship allocation. She works closely with faculty and senior leadership to shape each incoming class while ensuring that prospective applicants are well-informed and admitted students feel supported throughout the process. Under her leadership, the Law School has experienced continued growth in applications and steady strengthening of its entering class.

Lindsay is especially passionate about helping students who may be forging a path into higher education for the first time. As a first-generation college graduate and former Pell Grant recipient, she understands firsthand the transformative power of education and the importance of making it accessible for all.

Fun Fact: While living in New York City, Lindsay performed for the New York Liberty (WNBA) as a member of the Liberty Torch Patrol for five seasons, and as an undergraduate, she was a Division I cheerleader for the UB Bulls. She has completed both the New York City and Buffalo marathons and, in her early years at the School of Law, founded and directed the Running with the BU1Ls orientation race, which benefited UB’s Clinical Legal Education program.

Advice and Tips for Prospective Students

Take your time with the application process. While there is no objective “best” time to apply, submitting early is generally good advice. That said, you should not sacrifice quality or completeness simply to apply sooner. Attention to detail and thoughtful preparation can meaningfully affect your chances of admission.

Interests and Hobbies

Outside of work, Lindsay enjoys running, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family. She’s a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan and has a special weakness for salted caramel. She also firmly believes in the restorative power of reading fiction, taking naps, and having a good laugh.
