“As a Buffalonian, I’m obligated to tell you that Bar-Bill is hands down the best chicken wing restaurant in Buffalo. Bar-Bill is my go-to during the Bills season for a 10-piece and spicy Bloody Mary. Their classic hot sauce is my favorite, but everyone raves about the Cajun honey-butter BBQ. They also have a cocktail menu that changes with the seasons, and plenty of outdoor seating in the summer. If you’re seeking the best wings in Buffalo, I can’t recommend Bar-Bill enough.”

"Travel the world over, but you will not find anything to compare to Buffalo's unique delicacies: Beef on Weck, Sponge Candy, Texas Red Hots, Fish Frys, and, of course, Wings. Every neighborhood claims its own favorites, but the best are obviously Schwabl's for roast beef, Louis's Texas Red Hots, Park Edge Sponge, and McPartlan's Fish Fry. Duff's is my go-to for wings, but your mileage may vary.”

“Though not in the city proper, Forno Napoli, an eatery adjacent to UB's North Campus, serves some of the best Neapolitan Pizza you can find, at an excellent price. I highly recommend grabbing a friend or two to split a pizza with after a long day of classes, or head on over to Elmo’s Bar (also near North Campus) for some for some of the best Buffalo Wings.”

Graylynn is a cozy gin bar that offers its spin on English pub fare. The atmosphere is always lovely, and its location downtown is close to music and arts venues including Shea's Theatre and Town Ballroom.”

Kuni's is simply one of the best Japanese restaurants I have ever been to, which incudes restaurants in NYC, San Francisco and in Japan. It is small and takes no reservations, so get there early. I always go at 5:00 when it opens. Tuesday through Sunday, 5:00 p.m. - 9:45 p.m.”

"When exploring the City of Buffalo, make sure not to miss these West Side gems. Butter Block offers fresh pastries that will amaze you, My personal favorites are the almond croissants and homemade pop tarts. If you’re in the mood for a leisurely stroll, head across the street to Five Points Bakery. There, you can immerse yourself in live jazz on the weekends (weather permitting). And don’t forget to treat yourself to their specialty drinks and grab a fresh loaf of bread to go!"

Lindsay Gladney, Vice Dean for Admissions

“Buffalo has a lot of different coffee shops, and my favorite weekend activity is to try them all out. So far out of the ones that I've been to, Jam is the current favorite but I look forward to trying more and more. Next on my list is Penny's Coffee Shop, they have Turkish coffee!”

“Sure, Buffalo's wings are legendary, a true claim to culinary fame. But here is a surprising truth for any taco aficionado: Buffalo has a secret weapon in the taco arena – Lloyd's Taco Factory. They started as a beloved food truck, bringing delicious and affordable tacos to the streets. Now, with their brick-and-mortar locations, they have become a local favorite, consistently voted among the best restaurants in Buffalo!”
