Hon. E. Jeannette Ogden ’83, a New York State Supreme Court justice, 8th Judicial District, in Buffalo, was appointed to the court’s Appellate Division, 4th Department, in Buffalo, where she resides. Ogden is a past president of the UB Law Alumni Association and a past recipient of the Distinguished Alumna Award for community service.
Hon. Gerald J. Greenan III ’88 of West Seneca, N.Y., was elected a New York State Supreme Court justice, 8th Judicial District, in Buffalo. He previously served as an administrative judge for the New York State Parole Commission.
Hon. Shawn K. Jacque ’92 has been appointed a U.S. District Court judge, 36th District in Detroit, Mich., where he resides. He previously served as general counsel for the court.
Hon. Craig D. Hannah ’95 was elected a New York State Supreme Court justice, 8th Judicial District, in Buffalo, where he resides. Hannah previously served as chief judge of Buffalo City Court and supervised the city’s Opiate Crisis Intervention Court, the nation’s first opiate intervention court. He is a past recipient of the UB Law Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumnus Award for the judiciary and is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council.
Hon. Deral D. Givens ’01 of Rochester, N.Y., was elected a Monroe County Family Court judge in Rochester. He previously served as a supervising attorney with the Legal Aid Society in Rochester.
Brendan P. Kelleher ’01 has become a partner with Lippes Mathias LLLP in the Buffalo office, practicing employment law. He previously practiced with Harris Beach PLLC in Buffalo, where he resides.
Hon. Samuel P. Davis ’02 was elected a Buffalo City Court judge. He was previously of counsel with the Dolce Firm, P.C., in Buffalo, where he resides.
Lorisa D. LaRocca ’02 has become general counsel with Coordinated Care Services in Rochester, N.Y., and has started an HR consulting firm, Spark HR, in Rochester, where she resides. She was previously a partner with Woods Oviatt Gilman LLP in the Rochester office.
Hon. Joseph C. Lorigo ’07 was elected a New York State Supreme Court justice, 8th Judicial District, in Buffalo. Lorigo previously served as an Erie County legislator, 10th District, in Buffalo.
Jennifer M. Oliver ’07 has become counsel with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, P.C., in the San Diego, Calif., office, handling cases involving complex litigation. She was previously a partner with MoginRubin LLP in San Diego, where she resides. Oliver is a member of the law school’s Dean’s Advisory Council.
Hon. Gary A. Wilson ’08 was elected a Buffalo City Court judge. Wilson previously served as a principal law clerk to Hon. John B. Licata ’92, New York State Supreme Court, 8th Judicial District, in Buffalo, where he resides.
Jordan Z. Marks ’09 of San Diego, Calf., was elected assessor/recorder/county clerk with the County of San Diego. He was previously chief deputy assessor/taxpayer advocate with the county.
Joshua P. Weiss ’14 has been promoted to people’s appeals coordinator, Criminal Appeals Bureau, with the Bronx District Attorney’s Office in Bronx, N.Y. He is a resident of Syosset, N.Y.
Jacob R. Ark ’15 has become of counsel with Forsyth Howe Dwyer Kalb & Murphy, P.C., in Rochester, N.Y., where he resides. Ark was previously an assistant district attorney with the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office in Rochester.
Conor T. Flynn ’15 has accepted a position as director of health sciences research administration for UB’s Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, in Buffalo. Flynn was previously a contract specialist with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He serves as a town council member in Orchard Park, N.Y., where he resides.
Tara M. Ward ’15, a senior associate with Phillips Lytle LLP in the Rochester, N.Y., office, received the Hon. Judith S. Kaye Commercial and Federal Litigation Scholarship from the New York State Bar Association’s Commercial and Federal Litigation section. Ward is a resident of Honeoye Falls, N.Y.
Michelle Yeung ’15 of Staten Island, N.Y., has become associated with Offit Kurman, Attorneys at Law, practicing in the firm’s estates and trusts group in the New York City office. Yeung was previously a senior associate with Grimaldi & Yeung in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Robert J. Caggiano ’17 has joined Hurwitz Fine, P.C., as an associate in the Buffalo office, practicing in the area of litigation. He lives in Lockport, N.Y.
Deonna M. Jones ’19 has become assistant legal counsel with the Buffalo City School District. She previously served as an assistant district attorney with the Erie County District Attorney’s Office in Buffalo, where she resides.
Brandon M. Lê ’20 is practicing as an associate with Lippes Mathias LLP in the Buffalo office, handling cases regarding mergers and acquisitions, business reorganizations and corporate governance. He was previously an associate with Hodgson Russ LLP in Buffalo. Lê lives in Lockport, N.Y.
Natalia Marte ’20 of Rochester, N.Y., has joined Phillips Lytle LLP as an associate in the Buffalo office, practicing litigation. She was previously an appellate court attorney, New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, 4th Department, in Rochester. Marte is a member of the UB Law Alumni Association’s GOLD Group board of directors.
Daylyn T. Blackman ’21 has become associated with Wesley Clark & Peshkin LLP in Buffalo, practicing family and matrimonial law. She was previously an associate with LoTempio, P.C., in Buffalo. Blackman lives in Alden, N.Y.
Deja L. Middlebrook ’21 has become inclusionary compliance officer with the City of Buffalo’s Office of Diversity, Opportunity and Inclusion. She is a Buffalo resident.
