John D. Rosero ’92 was named senior vice president and general counsel with Delta Dental of New Jersey and Connecticut. He was previously vice president and chief compliance officer for U.S. Businesses with Prudential in Livingston, N.J.
Maureen M. Olives ’94 was named executive director of Philadelphia Legal Assistance (PLA) in Philadelphia, after serving as its interim executive director. PLA, a non-profit civil legal services program, enforces and protects the rights of individuals and families by providing accessible, creative and high-quality legal assistance to low-income Philadelphians.
Joseph N. Del Vecchio ’96 has been named president of National Fuel Gas Supply Corp. and Empire Pipeline Inc. in Williamsville, N.Y. He previously served as executive vice president of National Fuel Gas Supply Corp.
Dr. Bridget E. Niland ’98 has accepted a position as vice president for academic affairs with Canisius University in Buffalo. Niland previously served as dean of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Niagara University in Lewiston, N.Y.
Hon. Phillip L. Dabney Jr. ’02, a Buffalo City Court judge, was appointed a judge of the Buffalo Housing Court.
Kevin M. Momot ’02 has joined Counsel Press in Rochester, N.Y., as senior appellate counsel. He was previously an appellate consultant with PrintingHouse Press in Rochester.
Hon. Gary A. Wilson ’08 will be honored at the School of Law’s OUTLaw Dinner on March 7 in Buffalo. Wilson is a Buffalo City Court judge.
Candacé Jackson ’09 has accepted a position as vice president, public policy and strategic partnerships, with the Greater Baltimore Urban League. She was previously director of employer relations and outreach at George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C.
Catherine J. McCulle ’16 was elected treasurer-elect of the UB Law Alumni Association’s GOLD Group. McCulle is an attorney with the Law Office of Lindy Korn PLLC in Buffalo.
Daniel J. Palermo ’16 has been elected a partner with Harris Beach Murtha in the Rochester, N.Y., office, practicing labor and employment law in both private and public sectors.
Michael A. Pantzer ’16 has been promoted to counsel with Otterbourg P.C. in New York City, focusing on representing debtors, creditors, fiduciaries and other parties with interests in commercial bankruptcy cases and other insolvency matters.
Sean M. McCabe ’17 has been elected a partner with Harris Beach Murtha in the Rochester, N.Y., office, representing businesses, real estate developers and property owners in commercial real estate matters.
Marina A. Barci ’18 was elected president-elect of the UB Law Alumni Association’s GOLD Group. She is an attorney with Kahana Feld LLP, practicing in the firm’s national appellate litigation and consulting group in Buffalo.
Chad A. Davenport ’18 was promoted to partner with Rupp Pfalzgraf LLC in the Buffalo office. He practices in the firm’s civil rights group, representing individuals whose constitutional rights have been infringed.
Carolyn Lavin DeVaughn ’19 was promoted to shareholder attorney with Gross Shuman P.C. in Buffalo. She focuses her practice in business and corporate law, estate planning, estate and trust administration, and real estate and development.
Jesutowo A. Adeniji ’20 was appointed commissioner of labor relations for Erie County in Buffalo. He previously served as deputy commissioner.
Morgann K. Obrochta ’20 was elected secretary-elect of the UB Law Alumni Association’s GOLD Group. Obrachta is an assistant county attorney with the Erie County Department of Law in Buffalo.
Petra A. Holness ’23 has become associated with Goldberg Segalla in the Buffalo office, practicing in the firm’s civil litigation and trial and global insurance practice groups.
Brenden K. Diaz ’24 has accepted a position as an associate with Barclay Damon LLP in the Buffalo office, practicing in the areas of land use & zoning, energy, and real estate.
Alec Herbert ’24 is practicing as an associate with Barclay Damon LLP in the Buffalo office, representing clients in the areas of torts & product liability defense, mass & toxic torts and professional liability.
Madeline D. Stoklosa ’24 has become associated with Barclay Damon LLP in the Buffalo office, handling cases involving labor & employment, as well as commercial litigation & complex trials.
