So, you want to be a lawyer. But, you need a Bachelor’s Degree first. There are so many options, and your dream Law School simply states Bachelor’s Degree required. Which courses and major of focus should you pursue to succeed in Law School, and as a future Lawyer? Well, the answer is pretty simple, whatever you want!

One could think of worse predicaments than gaining acceptance to multiple law schools and feeling conflicted over competing scholarship offers. (Congratulations, by the way! This is an incredible problem to have.)

It’s true that Buffalo is a perennial contender for the Golden Snow Globe award, (the US city with the most snowfall each season), but that doesn’t keep the city from having fun—quite the opposite, actually! The greater Buffalo region embraces living in a winter wonderland, with many indoor and outdoor attractions and events for students to enjoy during the holiday season. We talked to some students, staff, and faculty about their favorite wintery pastimes and put together this list of ways to keep busy over the winter break.

While law school can be known as a grueling academic marathon, it’s also known as a place of great personal growth, expression and social networking. The University at Buffalo School of Law is proud to offer its students more than 20 student organizations that seamlessly integrate into the School of Law experience. These diverse clubs, associations, societies and boards allow students to contribute their time and talent towards both personal and professional growth.

You’ve likely heard the phrase “working pro bono” before. It’s not only a common phrase, but the notion of pro bono work is deeply imbedded within the roots of the legal profession. Like the rest of the legal community, pro bono work is a crucial part of the University at Buffalo School of Law, so much so that we host a pro bono week with a series of events, in addition to our Pro Bono Scholars program.
