Special congratulations to Beatrice Rule ‘24, who had to unexpectedly proceed in the competition without her teammate. Beatrice had the second highest score of the Competition, as a one-person team!

The first 3 placing teams will receive award certificates and have the first choice of participating in the ABA (American Bar Association) Regionals and the NYS Bar Association NYC Mediation & Negotiation Competitions. However, other teams or individual students could still be asked to participate if any of the 1st three teams cannot compete but also in upcoming international competitions.

Regional Competition

The 2024 ABA Regional Representation in Mediation Competition was held on March 2nd and 3rd at the University at Buffalo School of Law.

There were 12 participating teams (24 law students) from 6 law schools (including UB Law) from around the country. The results of the 4 finalist teams that competed in the Sunday morning championship rounds are as follows: 

The 2 first-place teams:  

  • Texas A&M (TEAM 11) 
  • Liberty University (TEAM 1)

The 2 runner-up teams:  

  • Fordham (TEAM 8)
  • Texas A&M (TEAM 9)
