Deepen our commitment to access to justice through nurturing a culture of service, fostering new and existing community partnerships, and pursuing positive social change.
Access to justice is at the heart of all we do. As the State of New York’s law school, we have a moral responsibility to address disparities in our local community and beyond. Building on our longstanding community partnerships and commitment to serving the public interest, we can better solve problems and promote positive change.
- Encourage and recognize faculty, staff, and student service to the community and pursuit of positive social change.
- Offer students a wide variety of credit-bearing service-learning opportunities that promote access to justice through clinics, externships, practicum courses, our Pro Bono Scholars Program, and volunteer opportunities.
- Invest in building and strengthening community partnerships that will provide mutual benefit to all.
- Promote and support the pursuit of access to justice careers with the guidance and partnership of alumni who serve the public.
