Happy birthday to us!

Nearly 1000 loyal supporters of SUNY Buffalo Law gathered for an evening of fun and surprises at Hotel @ The Lafayette to celebrate the kick-off of a year-long 125th anniversary celebration on Friday, September 28. The University's marching football band, a tower of cupcakes, sparklers, a video and masks of deans and prominent alumni long gone but not forgotten – not to mention plenty of delicious food and open bars— created a festive party not likely to be duplicated for another century and a quarter. The comment heard most often: "It was awesome. Amazing."

The celebration continues.

As part of the 125th anniversary, the school has unveiled a website that wraps up the Law School's history and anniversary events into a one-stop destination for the 125th celebration. The 125^th Anniversary website features:

• A complete calendar of anniversary events.
• An extensive illustrated historical timeline.
• Stories and profiles of prominent SUNY Buffalo Law alumni.
• A digital archive of The Opinion.
• Selected video and audio clips from the Law School's extensive oral history project, featuring some of the best-known names in Western New York's legal community and beyond. An anniversary video.

• And a wide selection of photographs, both vintage and modern, documenting the Law School's progression from a handful of students in a downtown classroom to its current status as a major force in legal education.
