Before joining the School of Law faculty in 1989, Thomas Disare practiced law in the corporate and finance areas. At UB School of Law, he has worked with two development clinics focused on affordable housing and community economic development.
Disare’s scholarly interests included the rapid expansion of the not-for-profit sector into areas previously reserved for government entities. He is a member of the American Bar Association Forum on Affordable Housing & Community Development Law. He is also interested in changes in the business law curriculum that better meet the challenges of modern business law practice. In this regard he has worked on several joint ventures with the University at Buffalo School of Management and is a member of the American Bar Association Committee on Business Law Education.
