The basic purpose of the JLSA is to serve the UB Law School student body and community by providing events, programs, and other activities of Jewish interest.|
These activities include catered Shabbat dinners, holiday-related events and celebrations, bar nights, ethnic Jewish food sales, guest speakers, mixers with other UB divisions and other law schools, and much more.
The JLSA is funded by the student activity fees collected and distributed by the UB Law Student Bar Association, and is open to all students at UB Law.
For guest speakers and other such events, the JLSA welcomes and encourages participation from students in UB's other academic programs, as well as UB faculty, staff, and members of the local community.
If you're interested in the nitty-gritty of the JLSA's basic structure, you're welcome to take a look at our constitution. Otherwise, for more information about the JLSA, please explore the rest of our website, and also feel free to contact us.
