Biography:
Jim Milles teaches and writes in the areas of information privacy, law and technology, and social media and networking technologies. His courses include Information Privacy, Internet Speech, Electronic Discovery, and Journalism, Democracy and Law.
From 2000 through 2008, Professor Milles served the Law School as Director of the Law Library. Prior to coming to UB, he worked as Associate Director for Information and Technology at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and as Head of Computing Services at Saint Louis University School of Law. Professor Milles is convenor of the Baldy Center for Law and Social Policy's Working Group on Social Technologies, co-convenor (with Professor Teresa Miller) of the Baldy Center's Projecting Law: Working Group on Law and New Media, and a member of The Sedona Conference Working Groups on Electronic Document Retention and Production and on International Electronic Information Management, Discovery and Disclosure.
