UB Law Receives $1 Million Gift from Cellino & Barnes
The law school has received an unrestricted gift of $1 million from two well-known alumni, Ross M. Cellino Jr. and Stephen E. Barnes, shareholders in the Buffalo-based personal injury law firm Cellino & Barnes, P. C. It is one of the largest cash gifts UB Law has received in its 122-year history. [Read More]

Commencement 2009: Kenyan Prime Minister Urges Solidarity with Emerging Africa

New York State Supreme Court Justice John M. Curran '84 was among six Western New Yorkers named by The Buffalo News as Outstanding Citizens for 2008. He is a past president of the UB Law Alumni Association. [Read More]
Chairman of the Board Wins the National Monopoly Championship
Richard Marinaccio '07 passed Go – and collected $20,580. That was his prize for becoming the U.S. champion in Monopoly, the classic real estate board game, in an April tournament in Washington, D.C. [Read More]

Alumni Articles Sought for the Public Interest Law Journal
The Buffalo Public Interest Law Journal, In the Public Interest, is a professional journal published by UB Law students that is committed to publishing articles pertaining to public interest law and policy affecting traditionally underrepresented populations. This year, the editors hope to publish at least one article from a graduate of UB Law School. [Read More]

A Visit to Grammys
Kimberly L. Sweet '09 was named one of four runners-up in a competition run by the Grammy Foundation and the American Bar Association's Forum on Entertainment & Sports Law. For her efforts she received a $1,500 scholarship and a trip to Los Angeles, where she and the other winners hobnobbed with entertainment industry types at a series of events, culminating in a star-studded night at the Grammy Awards ceremony.
