2009 New York City Alumni Luncheon. The UB Law Alumni Association will host its annual New York City Luncheon at the historic Union League Club in Manhattan on Friday, January 30. A Law School alumni tradition, the luncheon attracts guests from across the state including those attending the New York State Bar Association's Annual Meeting. [Read More/Download PDF]

UB Distinguished Speakers Series presents Donna Brazile, Chair of the Democratic National Committee's Voting Rights Institute. Event is to be held at the Center for the Arts, UB's North (Amherst) Campus. [Read More]

Feb. 20
The Buffalo Public Interest Law Program (BPILP) 14th Annual Auction will be held Friday, February 20, at the Pearl Street Grill & Brewery, 76 Pearl Street, Buffalo. The event is the primary fundraiser to provide scholarships allowing law students to work in volunteer summer positions for public interest organizations and agencies. UB Law Jaeckle Award Presentation - The Jaeckle Award is the highest honor the Law School and the Law Alumni Association can bestow. This year it will be presented in New York City to Kenneth B. Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner - The Law Alumni Association will present its awards on Tuesday, May 5, at the Hyatt Regency, Buffalo. Meeting at 5:30pm, Cocktails at 6pm, Dinner at 6:45pm. Awards will be presented to Hon. Jeffrey S. White '70 for the Judiciary; Brent L. Wilson '76 for Private Practice; SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor Emerita Elizabeth B. Mensch '79 for Public Service; Lynn A. Clarke '83 for Community Service; Ann M. Cellino '81 for Business; Hon. Sharon S. Townsend for Service by a Non-Alumnus/a. University at Buffalo Law School Commencement. Keynote will be Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, EGH, MP, Prime Minister of Kenya. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 23 in the Center for the Arts. A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony in the Atrium.
